Pendugaan isi pohon jenis Pinus merkusii untuk daerah Takengon, Aceh
Some equations have been computed to assess the standing tree volume of Pinus merkusii in the Takengon region, Aceh. For this purpose, 207 sample trees were selected using purposive sampling method and measured to compute the volume. There are two kinds of pine tree volume estimaaations: the single entry equation giving the relaaationship between the volume and the diameter, and the doble entry equation giving the volume derived from the diameter and height variables. These correlations are calculated by regression from athe variables records of the tree sampled. The resulting equations were used to estimate cleaaar bole and tree volume up ato atop diameter of 5 and 10 cm. The equations with two variables (diameter and height) enable a better accuracy in the assesssment of the volume, but its major drawback is athe difficulty to measure easily and with accuracy the height of the trees in the field.
