Efikasi beberapa insektisida terhadap hama pucuk murbei, Glyphodes pulverulentalis
A Study aimed at investigating the efficacy of some insecticides to mulberry's shoot pest G. pulverulentalis was conducted in mulberry field at PT Indojado Sutera Pratama in Cimenteng, sukabumi, from October to November 2001. Randomized completely design wiath insecticides as trreatments was applied with 4 replicateds, each consisted of 25 mulberry cluters. The application of both chemical insecticides, dimethoat400 g/l (systemic) and DDVP/diklorfos 500 EC (contac) showed similar efficacy and were able to reduced up to 56 and 85 percent G. pulverulentalis populations at 1 and 10 days after treatments, respectively. The population increased 14 days after treatments indicated the disappearance of residue in mulberry leaves. In addition, floral insecticides, pyrethrum, might also be applied when pest attack was encountered 5 days prior to leave harvest.
