Penentuan kriteria masak fisiologi buah dan media perkecambahan benih Panggal Buaya (Zanthoxylum rhetsa (Roxb.)DC.)
Panggal Buaya is one of forest trees that has a good prospect to be developed. The successful of plantation is greatly depend on the availability of good seeds. Some conditions to assure the goodness of seed are that of seeds from fisiological maturity of fruit and the appropriate media for germination. The aim of this research was to determine of fruit maturity and germination media of Panggal Buaya seeds. The design that was used in this research was a factorial experiment with a completely random design. The factors were i.e. the fruit color and germination media, with 4 replicaaations and each replicaation consisted of 100 seeds. The result showed that the characteristic of physiological fruit maturity was brown color and black fruit meat color. While the best germination media of Panggal Buaya seeds was vermiculate media.
