Evaluasi awal kesesuaian jenis pohon untuk rehabilitasi lahan di Dataran Tinggi Malino

Land rehabilitation in Malino upland need to be supported with knowledge about suitable trees species. Determining of suitable trees species was done by tree species suitability test. Early evaluation of eight trees species, which were planted, was done by measurement of plant survival, height, diameter, and canopy width. The result showed that Eucalyptus deglupta, Pinus merkusii, and Gmelina arborea had a higher survival percentage than the others in early growth. Eucalyptus deglupta had the best growth with 128.5 cm of height, 17.8 mm of diameter and 3665 cm2 of canopy width.
