Intersepsi tajuk pada tanaman jati (Tectona grandis) di Timor dan Ampupu (Eucallyptus urophylla) di Flores
Teak and eucalypt plantation programs in East Nusa Tenggara are still in public debate for it is believed by the society as the caused of water supply disturbance. For it reason, the illegal cutting of these species is increased. This research aimed to know the canopy interception, stemflows and troughfall from these plantations. The researchs conducted are: observing troughfall, interception, and stem flow in 50 x .50 nJeter square plots, t!zen using 20 dominant tree~' as samples. Observation of Water Debit was carried out by finding water sources in each pointed site in stand area of teak and eucalypt and observing the Water Debit. The result slJowed that the CalJOpy interception values of teak in SoE and Belu (Timor) was around 11.66 percent -30.73 percent, the stem flow was 1.38' percent -2.58 percent and the troughfall was 66.70 percent -85.73 percent from the rainfall average 116.5 mm -200 mm. For eucalypt. the canopy interception values was 11.87 percent -13.66 percent, the steniflows was 4.76 percent -6.55 percent and troughfalls was 82.12 percent -82.92 percent from the total rainfall of 99 mm -III mm in Ruteng and Ngada, Flores. The range of water discharge at teak plantation area in Soe and Belu was 3 3 3 . 0.088 m /sc -0.217 m /sc and 0.047 m /sc, respectively and the average of water discharge at eucalypt plantation area in Ruteng and Ngada Flores wa~ around 0.03 m3/sc -0.7 m3/sc and 0.08 m3/sc -1,125 m3/sc, respectively.
