Pengelolaan kayu bakar di daerah penyangga Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun
This research is conducted in buffer zone of Gunung Halimun National Park, especially in Cihamerang, Mekarjaya and Cipeuteuy villages. The purposes of research was to know the need of firewood consumption of households, the issues which affected the consumption and the potential of natural resources produced. The purposive random sampling method was used from interview, quessioner, observation and literature study. So the information as collected from direct and indirect method. The result indicated that the firewood consumption in Cihamerang, Mekarjaya and Cipeuteuy village were 8,15, 8,52 and 8,10 kg/household/day respectively. Firewood production from their garden in three villages was about 38,793.63 - 42,646.99 m3/year. However, firewood consumption in three villages was about 63,763.15 m3/year, so the decreasing was about 24,974.52 - 21,121.16 m3/year, which could be fullfilled from forest of Gunung Halimun National Park, the kinds of firewood are death trunk, fallen branches and twigs. The use of firewood consumption were affected by the member of household, income and proportion of fuel resources among gasoline. The management of firewood from national park is one of programs to increase the priority of local communities in buffer zone through rehabilitation based on communities development.
