Dampak pengunjung dan daya dukung kawasan Taman Wisata Alam Tangkuban Perahu

A study on visitor impact and carrying capacity of Kawah Gunung Tangkuban Parahu Natural Recreation Park was conducted in August to September 2001. The purposes of this study was to predict the number of visitors for the following 5 years, identify the impact of visitors, and determine the carrying capacity of this park. Data of visitors and soil physic were collected with purposive random sampling. The results showed that the increase in visitors was 2,1 percent per annum and the number of visitors was predicted to be 673,592 people in 2005. The soil stepped by visitors tended to be more compact than that was not stepped, particularly at the depth of 0 - 30 cm and 30 - 60 cm. Based on the Douglass Standard Method, it was determined that the carrying capacity was 2,981 people/day (minimum) to 19,270 people/day (maximum).
