Pengaruh batang bawah okulasi murbei (Morus sp.)
Bud grafting is a rapid method of grafting, adapted to commercial production when time is important. Bud grafting is generally used to multiply Morus sp. which gives higher yielding than other variety but difficult to multiply by stem-cutting (Morus multicaulis var Kokuso) in a short time. The research method was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 6 treatments. The treatments were six mulberry species as under stems i.e. M. cathayana, M. alba var Kanva-2, M. nigra, BNK, M. macroura and M. alba var Drs 29, each treatment had 4 replications. The result of experiment indicated that kind of under stem didn't influence the length of roots, but they showed a relationship with the survival and the growth of grafting. The percentage of surviving plants, the number of leaves, the weight of leaves and the weight of roots gave significant result. M. alba var. DRS 29 and M. cathayana were better to use as under stem on bud grafting of M. multicaulis var. Kokuso.
