Penyakit layu pada persemaian Suren (Toona sureni MERR.)

The survey of the disease of Toona sureni Merr. seedling was conducted at Pongpok Landak, Cianjur, West Java. The aims of the research were to identify the causal agent and study its ecobiology which played an important role in determining the control methods. The occurence of the disease was based on three factors, namely host species, source of inoculum and environmental conditions. The result offield observation showed that the symptoms of the diseases were clearly visible. The pathogen attacked Toona sureni seedlings. As the consequences the seedlings may finally die. Recently, prevalency attacked of this parasite and intensity of the disease were relatively low, however serious attention should be carried out. The percentage of attack was 22.10 percent. The macroscopic and microscopic observation showed that pathogenic agent was Fusarium sp.
