Peranan sektor kehutanan dalam perekonomian daerah

The fact that forestry sector has a significant role in regional has much been raised. However, to what extent its impact and linkages to other sectors have been lees reported. In line with the later sissues, the objectives of research are to study: (1) multiples effect of output, income and employment of forestry sector, (2) backward and forward linkages of forestry sector, and (3) power and sentivity of dispersion of forestry sector. An Analysis input-output were collected from Central Board of Statistics at sample regions. The research was conducted in East Java, Jambi, East Kalimantan and Soulth Sulawesi. The results of research support the opinion that forestry sector has a significant role in regional sconomy. This emplies that a decrease in timber production potency can be expected to bring abaout a significantly decrease of forsetry sectr role in regional economy. The development of plantation forset and non-wood forest products to prevent a further decrease should consider a priority based on a significant problem in each region. Input-output analysis can be used to assist in determining such a priority.
