Model penaksiran volume dolok jenis Acacia mangium Willd. di Sanggau, Kalimantan Barat
This research was aimed to compute faster and more accurately the commercial volume of Acacia mangium logs in order to prevent losses as caused by miscalculations. The data were collected directly from forest plantation stands grown in Sanggau, West Kalimantan. The data were processed by using linear regression equation applying least square methods, namely : log V = a + b log du + c log p or V = a.dub.pc. Where : V = volume of logs (m3), du = top diameter (cm), p = length of logs (m), a, c and c = constant. The resulting regression equation was : Log V = -4,05 + 2,011686 log du + 0,798869 log p or V = 0,0000886.du2,011686.p0,798869. The regression equation have standard error = 10.85 persen, coefficient correlation (r) = 0.9925, coefficient determination (r2) = 0.9850, agregative deviation = 0.495 persen and mean deviation = 5.23 persen respectively. The conclussion of this research was regression equation accurately and efficient to estimate the logs volume of A. mangium in Sanggau, West Kalimantan.
