The Natural Chemical Contents of Trees and Existence of Six MedicinalTrees Species in Indonesia: A Review

ABSTRACT

Natural chemical components of tree that produce non-wood forest products commodity can be divided into several classes of compound and extractive materials. Those compounds are mostly for pharmaceutical and medicinal products. Existence of some medicinal trees species in field is difficult to be found nowdays. It should be caused by changes impact of field condition. Forest exploitation incessantly affects many medicinal tree species to be rare moreover their existence mostly has not been known. This paper provides a review concerning the natural chemical contents of trees and field survey to existence of six medicinal trees species in year 2005 until 2009.
