Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Di Sekitar Plot Pengembangan Agroforestry Di Bagian Hulu Waduk Delingan=Socioeconomic community condition around agroforestry plot in the uppercourse of Delingan reservoir

Land utilization without following conservation rules has caused Delingan Reservoir not function optimally. Considering this fact, it is important to establish agroforestry development plots as a learning example for the local community regarding the importance of soil and water conservation measures in land utilization. In addition, to make this agroforestry project successful, it is necessary to understand the socio-economic conditions of the project-related local community. This study was conducted by employing a qualitative approach through interviews and focus group discussions in data collection. The results based on the data analysis indicate that socio-economic conditions of the local community affect the decision on implementing soil and water conservation measures which further affect the hydrological condition of the reservoir. Moreover, a top-down approach followed by a participatory-based approach is found to be an effective method in increasing local community's awareness of the importance of soil and water conservation measures in land utilization. However, the overall implementation needs a further comprehensive research and extension by involving local community at the surrounding reservoir and the catchment area actively.

Penggunaan lahan yang tidak sesuai kaidah konservasi membuat Waduk Delingan tidak berfungsi secara optimal. Untuk itu perlu plot percontohan agroforestri sebagai sarana pembelajaran masyarakat pentingnya konservasi tanah dan air. Pengembangan plot percontohan perlu didukung pemahaman kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitarnya. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara, indepth interview, dan focus group discusion dipergunakan pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat mempengaruhi kondisi waduk dan penerapan konservasi tanah. Pendekatan top down yang diikuti pendekatan partisipatif cukup mendorong kesadaran pentingnya konservasi tanah dan air. Namun implementasinya secara menyeluruh perlu upaya lanjutan secara komprehensif baik penelitian dan penyuluhan dengan pelibatan masyarakat secara aktif baik di sekitar waduk dan daerah tangkapannya.
